LifeRight Outreach grew from a life transformed by the grace of
Jesus Christ.
Mark’s Story:
Mark Foss was a drug dealer and an addict for more than 30 years. That lifestyle took him to the depth of despair which he was fortunate to survive. He had to attend his father’s and a sister’s funeral in prison chains. He witnessed the deaths of many friends due to suicides, accidents, overdoses and murder. While on his way to prison for the third time, he cried out to God to save him.
Mark conquered his addictions and surrendered his life to Christ. That was in April 2002 and his desire for drugs or alcohol never returned.
Because he had undergone treatment at least 10 times as well as jail and prison many other times, Mark was well aware of the need to return to a safe and sober place upon release. Successful rehabilitation means being surrounded by positive peers and mentors.
Mark founded LifeRight Outreach and helps provide that support by sharing the grace and love he found through Christ’s teachings. Mark’s new life includes a new marriage to his beautiful wife, Nikol, who struggled with a lot of the same addictions as Mark. Nikol is a graduate of Minnesota Teen Challenge.
Jay’s Story:
Jay’s past reads like an adventure thriller. He was a professional drummer at age 14, served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked in the investment services industry for 17 years reaching senior level sales and national sales management positions. Jay was married for 24 years and raised three beautifull children.
That all crashed when he turned to a life of drugs and destruction. He lost everything: marriage, relationships, home, possesions, job, and the will to live. He was broke, broken, homeless, and alone.
Jay found a new hope and new life through his savior, Jesus Christ. His new life includes a new marriage. He and his wife, Rochelle, have three children ages 9, 8, and 6. His mission with LifeRight Outreach ministry is to help others overcome life’s struggles through Christ’s teachings.
